Today we were invited to participate in ‘Cycling and the Sustainable Door to Door Journey’, a conference held at Sadlers Wells, thanks to Velorution and the nice people at NedRail. Lord Berkeley acted as host to some great discussions by the heads of Sustrans, the LCC and British cycling. Carlton Reid, Editor of Bike Biz, did a great presentation expressing the value of promoting cycling as a fashionable activity in the pursuit to get more people onto their bicycles. The issue of ‘cycle style’ seemed to be the theme of the day and the organiser even thanked us for our display, saying it added ‘depth’ to the conference… Fashion isn’t all bad!
Thanks to Karl for featuring us on his blog ‘karlmccracken.sweat365.com‘ about the day.
We will be debuting our first clothing collection at the CYCLE CHIC fashion show in Ireland, beside European and local designers.
The show will reflect the spirit of the streets of Copenhagen, Amsterdam and Paris where cycling does not include wearing gawky reflective jackets and unattractive helmets. The CYCLE CHIC Fashion Show aims to persuade people that cycling can be stylish.
The event will take place on Saturday 1st of November 2008, from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm in the Millennium Hall situated in the heart of the city. The event is free and open to the public.
