The Fairfax Gallery (Gallery 1.1), 1.2 & 1.3 GoMA
Exclusive to Brisbane this unique exhibition is an absolute must see. Carly and I allowed 3 hours to get around everything and were the last people out. Literally. It was rather embarrassing – we were actually escorted out by a member of security!
The exhibition includes two huge rooms full of Valentino couture, film interviews, fashion show reels, press clippings and a lounge area complete with a beautiful selection of books featuring the designers work – although do be warned that this does make it even harder than usual to bypass the gallery shop. Carly failed miserably at this and came away with 5 of said books to continue to be inspired by at home!
If you are planning on lunching there, the gallery cafe serves a divine sweet potato and feta cheese muffin $4.50 and sweet potato salad $7.90 or thereabouts. Hitting the Southbank for coffee and cake afterwards is also an absolute must.

i really like to visit art galleries because i love every bit of art “:
