Cyclodelic Featured in The Girl’s Guide to Life on Two Wheels

Cyclodelic is honoured to have been included in Cathy Bussey’s new book, The Girl’s Guide to Life on Two Wheels.

The book is a practical guide for the modern female cyclist, promoting cycling as a fun, healthy, and stylish hobby and form of transport. Cathy addresses the oh-so-common excuses women give for not cycling and provides solutions to make the activity fit into anyone’s lifestyle. The Girl’s Guide to Life on Two Wheels also serves as a handbook for new cyclists, with information including bike-buying tips, exercises to improve one’s bike handling skills, and interviews with fitness bloggers and experts to keep new (and old) cyclists inspired. The book is filled with many lovely photos from Cyclodelic campaigns over the years, including our trip to Paris.

Endless cycle: The Tweed Run

I was asked to write an article about the London Tweed Run for Selvedge Magazine. Selvedge Magazine is a publication that explores the use of textiles across various contexts, including fine art, fashion, interiors, travel and shopping. Miss Scotland models Cyclodelic for the Scottish Sun

Miss Scotland, Jen Reoch, featured prominently in Scottish press today backing the cycling festival this weekend dressed in Cyclodelic and sporting footwear by our favourite ethical brand Veja.

When asked about our clothing and apparel Miss Scotland said: “The outfits are specially designed for cycling so are perfect.

“Practically, they are very comfortable and they also look fantastic. I’ve never seen outfits like this before, they are pretty unique.”

London Cycle Stories

Last year I had the pleasure of working with up and coming photo-film producer Rino Pucci. Rino was working on his first feature film ‘London Cycle Stories’ and selected Cyclodelic as one of these stories.

Shadowing us over a period of 3 months last Summer, Rino was able to capture a realistic account of the day to day activities at Cyclodelic. Combining still shots with sound recordings and interviews, Rino’s films have an elegant pace that is startlingly refreshing to watch. We were delighted with the finished film (below) and hope to work with Rino on more projects later this year. Cyclodelic in the Wall Street Journal

What an exciting weekend here at Cyclodelic – we made it into the Wall Street Journal and they likened our Sports Dress to designer fashion label Miu Miu!! Saddle bag snapped in Italian Vogue

At the beginning of this week our very own bicycle belle Claira Watson Parr was flown over to Florence to take part in a London style Tweed Run on the first day of Pitti Immagine. We were thrilled to see our zig zag saddle bag and gold reflective cuff make it into the shot that was featured in a news story on Italian Vogue Online. Well done guys and gals. The event was filmed by our most loved graphic designer Harry Foster and will be coming soon…

New Look promote cycle fashion with a quote from Cyclodelic

Our founder Amy Fleuriot was asked to provide a quote for high street retailer New Look, to be used in their Summer 2011 Magazine feature on bicycle fashion. We think it’s great to see the high street taking notice of all the benefits of riding a bicycle and show that you can be fashionable and cycle. We hope that articles like this will inspire more young women to ride their bicycles.

Deutsche Welle-TV: City Cycling Fashions

Last week Cyclodelic spent the day being filmed and interviewed for Berlin based Deutche Welle-TV. The 5 minute segment on City Cycling Fashions was broadcast as part of their style and culture program, Euromaxx on Monday and can be viewed by clicking here.
