The Bicycle Ballet’s latest show Premiers at the Fuse Medway Festival on Saturday 18th June

“Where are the girls when the boys are learning to bunny hop?”

Premiere of a new show from the Bicycle Ballet team, www.bicycleballet.co.uk.

‘Where are the girls when the boys are learning to bunny hop?’

Following the evolving relationships of a brother and sister growing up on, off, over, around, and occasionally abandoning, their bikes, the new show looks at differing male/female approaches to cycling.  Spectacular bike tricks, fast paced choreography and moments of comedy, chart the sibling’s journey, as they bicker, push, pull, giggle and wheel their way to adulthood.

Featuring one of UK’s finest trick cyclists, Paddy Waters, and contemporary dancer and clown, Mary Eddowes, the show is choreographed by Janine Fletcher (the dance of cycling, The Two Wrongies and Urban Playground), conceived and produced by Karen Poley (Zap Art, Bicycle Ballet, Periplum).

Where are the girls when the boys are learning to bunny hop?’ is set to a soundtrack featuring music from the award winning Tru Thoughts label, with costume design by bicycle fashion house Cyclodelic, and is supported by Workspace.

Future dates will be on www.bicycleballet.co.uk
