Bamboo Bow T-shirt & The London SkyRide

Our Bamboo Bow T-shirt was featured in The Guardian today, alongside a fantastic interview with Erin O’Connor.  Aside from her superstar model status, Erin has a less-known passion: cycling!  It is great to read her interview on cycling fashion.  “It’s not the bike; it’s what you wear when riding it that counts. Style and functionality can coexist.” She told the Guardian.

Formerly the London Freewheel, the Mayor of London Skyride will be held from 10am-4pm on Sunday the 5th of September. This ride is unique, in that it is designed for riders to literally take over the streets of central London.  With all traffic banned on the route this day, riders are able to pedal along, enjoying the sights without worrying about being hit by traffic.  This massive demonstration of pedal power will follow along the Thames before winding through the city streets.  Iconic landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Tower of London will be key points in the 15km route.  Participation is completely free.  For more information, and to register for the event click this link.

The Bicycle Film Festival

Cyclodelic is extremely proud to be an official sponsor of this years this years London Bicycle Film Festival at the Barbican. We got a sneak preview of what’s in store at the opening party in the Barbican last night and highly reccomend ‘The Waffle Bike’ by the genius Neistat Brothers, Standing Start for making us all want to be track stars and the beautiful shots of fixed gear riders in ‘Keiren’. For a whole list of fabulous screenings, alleycats and parties going on during the festval visit their website.

Special thanks and congratulations to Laura Fletcher and Brendt Barbur.
