London’s Tweed Run

London’s Rugby Tweed Run is just around the corner and we have a range of products perfectly suited for the occasion! Gather up some of your chums and join in on this “metropolitan bicycle ride with a bit of style.”

The Tweed Run will set off on Saturday November 26th, participants will meet at the newly launched Ralph Lauren Rugby store in Covent Garden and will take part in exciting activities along the route including the lovely Tea Break on Royal Avenue, Chelsea to a smashing soiree at the end of the course.

Dress in your very best style because various awards will be offered ranging from best vintage bicycle, most dapper chap, and most dashing dame. Not sure what you plan on wearing? For those of you looking for a last minute style fix Cyclodelic has some dandy new tweed attire.

Tweed Run 2010

On Saturday we headed out in glorious sunshine for the second annual Tweed Run.

This stylish bicycle ride through the Capital is like a tweed critical mass of all things vintage. Nearly tripling last year’s number of participants, this year, 400 cyclists took part in the ride through London. Pre-registration was full in just 2 hours!

At fourteen miles long, the route started at the Tate Britain, passed Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, St. Paul’s Cathedral and stopped halfway for a spot of tea in Kensington Gardens to the sounds of a string quartet. We finished at The Bathhouse in Bishopsgate where we celebrated by sipping on Hendricks Gin and Tonic, tantalising our taste buds with a mouthwatering selection of home made cakes and shimmying to the sounds of a swing band. Prizes were given for best moustache and best outfits.
